Seminars
All our seminars have a focus on Excellence – the habit of thinking that enables you to move towards achieving your personal best.
Passing Exams
An interactive and entertaining two-hour or 90-minute presentation exploring how best to prepare for exams. Offering a simple and practical five-step approach for senior secondary school students, this seminar will teach you how to:
- create an exam performance mind-set
- relax into your ideal learning state
- review material and rewrite it into new condensed exam notes
- memorise revision notes using pictures and patterns
- rehearse recall and visualise your ideal on-the-day exam performance.
Within these five steps are solutions to common challenges students face in the lead up to exams. Problems such as getting motivated to study, being distracted easily, poor memory retention and exam nerves are all addressed.
This presentation was fantastic! Everything was thoroughly explained and the activities helped to solidify the information. I can definitely see myself using these methods in the near future.
Year 11 Student.
Following this five-step approach and applying all the ideas and tools will transform great preparation into great results!
NB: The same Passing Exams seminar can be tailored as part of a teachers’ professional development session and/or Parent’s seminar to learn how they can better support their kids at home.

Learning to Learn
An interactive and entertaining 90-minute or one-hour presentation for junior and middle secondary school students that presents a range of learning strategies and study skills based on five key principles for how the brain learns. Using the acronym ASSET, these principles are:
- Attention
- Sensory Input
- Solid Effort
- Emotion
- Time Sequence.
When students know about these principles, they can see why studying in deliberate ways will dramatically improve their learning and test-taking performance.
NB: The Learning to Learn seminar is often used as an introduction to the Passing Exams seminar for senior students. Some of the content is similar.
